Legal Conflict

The CLOUD Act
paradox.

The US CLOUD Act (2018) gives American authorities the right to access data from US companies anywhere in the world — even data stored in EU data centers.

This creates a direct, irreconcilable conflict with GDPR. You cannot be simultaneously compliant with both laws when using a US-owned service.

🇪🇺
GDPR

Legal Conflict
🇺🇸
CLOUD Act
Allows US government to compel US companies to hand over data — regardless of where it's stored.

The only solution: Use European providers that fall exclusively under EU jurisdiction.
